Back in the Day!

A snap shot of my childhood growing up in a trailer!

I'm going to be so bold and start a new tread, I would like to call it "Back in the Day". To some of you the RV life style may be new, but for others like myself, I grew up with. For those that may have a history of RVing it would be nice for you to share some of those memories with the rest of. It can be a first camping trip with friends or relatives whatever, but feel free to share those great memories and pictures.

I'll start off with a picture of me in my first 'Towed Vehicle'

Here's another picture of my parents first trailer (I think) a Silver Liner.

This one is the Silver Liner and our 1954 Pontiac somewhere in the snow.
And another with me and my first dog Dottie in the snow.

This is my dad and a newer trailer and the same 54 Pontiac, in about 1956.

Here's the same trailer and Pontiac, check out the banner between the pumps 'Tubeless Tires'!

Our last and bigger trailer. Made in Elkart Indiana in 1957, a Presidential model 37 ft long and weighed in at 8000lbs empty! It was one of the first trailers with 14.5in. rims and the tires were Goodyear 8ply. The trailer was so heavy that on our first trip to California we blew two tire from rubbing the top of the wheel wells. This is my dads new 56 Pontiac and he had one of the very first Equalizer type hitches sold on it. You think my dad liked Pontiac's and Jet Black everyone.
